We are an independent Canadian organization dedicated to connecting medical students, residents, and practicing physicians with specialized accounting, tax, and consulting services tailored just for them.
Our Story
CPAMD began in 2019 when our founder saw how young physicians were often overwhelmed by taxes, incorporation, and financial planning. Rather than starting yet another accounting firm, CPAMD was built to be a trusted connector that puts physicians’ needs first, every time.
Since then, we’ve curated an impressive network of vetted accounting firms across Canada that understand the unique financial needs of doctors at every stage of training and practice. Our role is to be your guide and advocate: we listen to your situation, match you with an expert who fits your needs, and continue to provide support over the course of your career.

Our Founder and CEO
Born abroad and now a proud Canadian, José de Trinidad was raised in a family where service and humanitarian work were a way of life.
After studying law and working in the legal field, José shifted his focus to solving a problem he could no longer ignore. Too many doctors were being underserved, misinformed, or pressured into financial decisions that did not serve their best interests. He launched CPAMD in 2019 to change that – not by becoming just another accounting firm, but by creating a values-based platform that empowers doctors and provides trusted guidance with zero bias.
José continues to lead CPAMD with humility and resolve, committed to helping doctors thrive financially so they can focus on what matters most: caring for others.

We also contribute to wellness and mentorship events like the University of Toronto’s Golden Scalpel Basketball Tournament, where surgical residents and faculty come together outside of the hospital for some friendly competition and camaraderie.
